America the Beautiful.  Land of the free, the graceful, the wise...

The hubris of those who would be gods.  Dispensing versions of godhood upon the Earth to indulge the whims of selfish greed.  Who can give grace?  Who deserves grace?

Suppose psychology is a created outer shell used to control the inner being of philosophical soul? An artifical 'scientific' explaination of human behavior. To control or encase specific ideas in a shell, designed to imprison any expansion of the human soul towards the Infinity.  Instead, staying within a finite ‘google’ sense of being.

1776: A very good year for philosophy.  Be careful when you get into the ideas of learned and enlightened men.

“Hume is our Politics, Hume is our Trade, Hume is our Philosophy, Hume is our Religion.”

I like these little threads L, they inspire a little thinking. The historical relevance is valuable.

In America, the beginnings of a more refined psychological control structure of rational sober skepticism took hold.  Philosophical ideas of ‘physic control’ by David Hume coupled with Thomas Reid’s views on ‘common sense’ began trickling down to the common people.

An example of this trickle down philosophy can be found with Thomas Paine. Through his more common approach to public rhetoric, sort of like a demagogue, Benjamin Franklin took advantage of his skills by publishing ‘Common Sense’ and distributing it on a massive scale. Old Big Ben was a major media winner at the 'time'.  Ideas have a way of travelling like that!  Through time!

These idea’s of ‘the American Crisis’ were injected into the public psyche to build the necessary spirit for rebellion.  Allowing a sovereign nation to be created on purpose. Using a deeper sense of planned philosophy.

Directed, of course, by the ones who control the money and resources. The merchants and the bankers who pay for all the scientists, philosophers,  and engineers to come up with all these wonderful ideas of how things should be in a created utopian world.  All induced with wonderful enticement to work for the greater good of being .  Nice, thoughts, indeed!

The media of the day, slow as it was, provided the fuel to feed the fire!

Couldn’t psychology, as a separate entity of science, be a shell surrounding the philosophical? Using established methods of suppression?

Philosophy seems to express understanding of the emotional, limbric system of being.

Psychology seems to suppress limbric expansion.  Using drugs and constructed ideas to actively inhibit posterity. Acting as a materially constrictive cerebral shell using the connection of memory to inculcate a desired behavior.

We live in an age of making things graphic through visual perception! Psychological treatments seem to rely on using visual perceptions of sense as an emphases to articulate behaviors more openly.  Using auditory signals as a secondary source of perceptive input to better maximize utilities of desire through compartments of marketing functionaries. Although, auditory may not be so secondary as it seems...

There’s more than one sense. ‘Common sense’ states that quite clearly.

Smile of reason take a breath.
The common language of sense mediating knowledge for profit.
Isn’t that what the internet does?
Who gets to own the value of knowledge?
Who gets to know what?
About who?
About when, where, why, and the how of it?
What Master would really want his slave to know anything beyond his job?

Learning ‘soulamentary’ behavior with sentient symbology through the collective soul of humans being human.

Liberate the imagination.
Don’t fear Antique Authority.
It is the soul of terrorism!
Ancient, bold and alive...

I do believe A.I. uses the collective to learn. Do you think it has a soul?
