The People - The other side of history: Unknown men and women who drive the nation forward. The soldiers, the laborers, the slaves, criminals and all the living life styles and religions inherent upon them all from above...

Pilgrims and refugees....sent out to colonize and spread the threads forward. Intravenous in its artificial nature; designed to siphon the treasure back to the greedy source of despotic control. What is this treasure spent on? More wars, more controversy, more theatre to bring us all to the mouth of Chronos!

maybe apply a little pseudo science to this thread. imma a thinkin psychohistory. not too big on the maths involved with all that but it is interesting how societies behave as a whole throughout their existence. just wondering if it is possible to mathematically predict with some really decent accuracy (not 100 percent) how a society will react to a stimulus.

all kinds of variables apply: behaviors inherent with traditions, crowd controls, mob mentality, etc.

How many variables?

only an A.I. Robot could know...

I just wonder how far this old idea (fictional) can really stimulate modern thinking.

Fiction has a way of bringing out the reality in strange ways...

You do realize it doesn't work if the the group knows it's being psycho-historically analyzed...

Ya know? with all the repetition the media provides it does make one wonder if it's possible to psychically drive a group. How large a group? I suppose Facebook would know. I'd like to see some of their studies...

Ya gotta look at more than just the history the winners write for the books.

Politics
Philosophy
Theology
Economy
History
Language
more...

Each a major piece of an engine that drives an empire forward and backward.

Who is John Galt?

A breakaway invisible society of psychologists & enlightened philosophers would have to be the ones running things behind the scenes.

Don't look behind the curtain.
