Since philosophy turned into psychology and became more narrow in its 'science'. It seems something much more became missing. The study of history should expand all this onto the widescreen. It gives one an idea of how much pre programmed constructions within societies have driven the behaviors of the common man to a more negative consumerism type of prevelent vice. More colors on the pallete, so to speak.

Long term patterns of behavior coherent in all of them indicate similar behaviors to all. Behaviors that drive powers to force a continued hidden structure behind the show fulfilling their own prejudicial attitude towards the audience of the 'world.'

Remember?

It's good to learn how to use the tools needed to breathe underwater for longer periods of time when attempting to explore the deeper aspects.

To put it plainly. Neither the owner nor any admins and mods are accredited Pscyhologists. Although we do make a study of it. We believe it's important to know these things to discern for ourselves the social studies of both ourselves and others. We do not speak for any guests or members in this regard. After all, you never know who anyone really is on the internet.

Controversial GCHQ Unit Engaged in Domestic Law Enforcement, Online Propaganda, Psychology Research

Particularly revealing is a fascinating 42-page document from 2011 detailing JTRIG’s activities. It provides the most comprehensive and sweeping insight to date into the scope of this unit’s extreme methods. Entitled “Behavioral Science Support for JTRIG’s Effects and Online HUMINT [Human Intelligence] Operations,” it describes the types of targets on which the unit focuses, the psychological and behavioral research it commissions and exploits, and its future organizational aspirations. It is authored by a psychologist, Mandeep K. Dhami.

Facebook's massive psychology experiment likely illegal

They say it was legal to do this without consent, because Facebook's terms of service require you to give consent for, basically, anything.

But as legal scholar James Grimmellmann points out, there's a federal law that prohibits universities from conducting this kind of experiment without explicit, separate consent (none of this burying-consent-in-the-fine-print bullshit).

Experimental evidence of massive-scale emotional contagion through social networks

These results highlight several features of emotional contagion. First, because News Feed content is not “directed” toward anyone, contagion could not be just the result of some specific interaction with a happy or sad partner. Although prior research examined whether an emotion can be contracted via a direct interaction (1, 7), we show that simply failing to “overhear” a friend’s emotional expression via Facebook is enough to buffer one from its effects. Second, although nonverbal behavior is well established as one medium for contagion, these data suggest that contagion does not require nonverbal behavior (7, 8): Textual content alone appears to be a sufficient channel. This is not a simple case of mimicry, either; the cross-emotional encouragement effect (e.g., reducing negative posts led to an increase in positive posts) cannot be explained by mimicry alone, although mimicry may well have been part of the emotion-consistent effect.

That statement is concerning. I say otherwise. Maybe not by this particular experiment. Certainly other more clandestine groups are doing their own experiments. Directing agendas on individuals and groups of all sorts.

That depends! Power for that belongs somewhere else. Fear is always a factor.
