The Hidden History of American Disaster in Asia

This program talks about how the propaganda fed to the American public for over a century and a half has affected our general thinking on the Chinese way of life.

What our government and the history books have written is so filled with lies and misdirection that it makes it difficult to think critically on these subjects. Question everything! Then make your own conclusions from what you learn.

The lecture begins with how American financiers and missionaries first infiltrated the Chinese culture and gives us a breakdown of some of the propaganda methods used in getting the American public to play along. It then moves us through the history of American attitudes towards China as a whole.

It explains the bill of lies sold to the public to build prejudice in the American psyche as time goes on. From the California gold rush, the building of the railroads, the opium trade, and the various relations with the leaders throughout the last century it addresses important issues which causes most of our society to believe in deceits designed to profit TPTB.

It's good. Got through some of it. Decided to take it apart and see what's what........Starting with the opium trade.

There's dirty money buried in the basement of some of America's wealthiest and most powerful families.

Right now, other merchants are making fortunes in the same business. If they get caught, they lose everything. But if they don't, there's nothing like time and money to wash the dirt off their fortunes.

In 1823, Samuel Russell established Russell and Company for the purpose of acquiring opium in Turkey and smuggling it to China. Russell and Company merged with the Perkins (Boston) syndicate in 1830 and became the primary American opium smuggler. Many of the great American and European fortunes were built on the "China"(opium) trade.

One of Russell and Company's Chief of Operations in Canton was Warren Delano, Jr., grandfather of Franklin Roosevelt. Other Russell partners included John Cleve Green (who financed Princeton), Abiel Low (who financed construction of Columbia), Joseph Coolidge and the Perkins, Sturgis and Forbes families. (Coolidge's son organized the United Fruit company, and his grandson, Archibald C. Coolidge, was a co-founder of the Council on Foreign Relations.)

William Huntington Russell ('33), Samuel's cousin, studied in Germany from 1831-32. Germany was a hotbed of new ideas. The "scientific method" was being applied to all forms of human endeavor. Prussia, which blamed the defeat of its forces by Napoleon in 1806 on soldiers only thinking about themselves in the stress of battle, took the principles set forth by John Locke and Jean Rosseau and created a new educational system. Johan Fitche, in his "Address to the German People," declared that the children would be taken over by the State and told what to think and how to think it.

Writing home, Delano said he could not pretend to justify the opium trade on moral grounds, ''but as a merchant I insist it has been . . . fair, honorable and legitimate,'' and no more objectionable than the importation of wines and spirits to the U.S. Yet as addiction became epidemic, and as the Chinese began paying with precious silver for the drug, their Emperor finally in 1839 named an Imperial Commissioner to end the trade.

Putting an artificial face on an unsuspecting public. What a joke. Pearl Buck? Yes, I've read her work. She was a great author in her time. Nice to know that it was used as an artifice to dupe Americans into thinking the Chinese were on their way to being Christianized with democracy.

The Sorceress

She was beautiful, bewitching and ambitious. Not content with ruling China with her husband she dreamt of ruling the world - even if it meant seducing a would-be American president. Here, for the first time, Jonathan Fenby reveals the extraordinary secret of Madame Chiang Kai-shek

Franklin Roosevelt was telling Churchill that the Japanese wouldn't enter the war because we were supplying them with oil? His underlings lied to him? Withdrawing oil supplies from the Japanese without telling the President?

Why doesn't this surprise me.

None of this surprises me either. It isn't really the government that is the problem. The founding fathers made a sound constitution. It's only those who care nothing for governments who hold all the power. The life blood has been tainted by greed the whole world over. They have created entities within that are corrupted with weak individuals who slave for their masters. Up the line it goes to the unseen holder of all the strings.
