Seems similiar to the Manichean system of rule. Also similiar to the Jewish structure of temple control. Basically it is an inner sanctum of highly skilled adepts giving instruction to the initiates who then gave a watered down version to the believers. Put a pharoah on top of all that and you have a 'god' walking the earth.

It affected a natural support system for those within the inner sanctuary to keep power. Mixing truth with lies, gossip, and fantasy to keep the 'lower' divisions enthralled. This so called 'public magnificence' of lofty station magnified an artificial ethos for those in the 'know'.  Giving men godlike powers over other men and establishes a system of domination that is susceptible to greed and bloody passion for its own gain only.

The new experiment.

Back in those days the philosophers came up with the idea of the new utopia. Bringing together many past structures to form new experiments in governing human behaviors. Originally, the colonies were used as experiments in different styles of the English system. Each zone governed by philosophical and religious ideals. It's amazing how they managed to come together to fight a greater cause.

Today, this experimentation sort of continues. Let's go a bit science fiction on the subject and play around a bit...

Smart cities incorporated with the bells and whistles can now be built. Expanding upon different cultured sets of beliefs. One city could be programmed to follow specific religious rules, another could be set with a philosophical belief system, still another could be made as a prison like structure. Each one made to output a specific product or service to a greater whole.

These stemmed from many European experiments in social structuring as well, especially Prussia:

A new method of educating people took place in the early 1800s. Prussia instituted new methods of compulsory education for its citizens. A form of animal husbandry was established laying down the foundations for a state controlled public education system. American schools of thought began adopting these new methods to replace the older form. The basic structure gives power and true education to the few while providing a watered down value system to the masses. It also gives those who control the system administration privlidges over an entire economy and everything else that stems from that.

The central bankers couldn't stand the idea of spreading the wealth to more individuals. The American Experiment throws a giant wrench into that machine. Consolidation of everything has always been their goal. Including how people act and consume within the economy. Centuries old in the making...

Sorting out the logic and searching for order and revenue. This brings us to the idea of sacred property rights. The colonies sure did have a lot to say on that subject. But, we'll get to that...

First of all, the British parliament passes a proclamation in 1763 declaring a halt on all migration west of the Appalachian Mountains. Thus, killing any chance for squatters or groups of people to go in and take over land from the Indians, or anywhere else, without Crown or parliamentary approval. There's a nifty little clause in there that seems to indicate no one else may deal with the indigenous tribes but for a Crown appointed official. This implies 'ownership' by the Crown even before anyone else has a chance to gain control. The Crown issues trade licenses and warrants to set a tone indicating that the west shall not be a refuge for scoundrels.

Then, a year later, the sugar and currency acts became policy. Sugar, molasses, run, textiles, etc. all had their taxes lowered across the board. Plus, only British ships could be used for transportation. Parliament wanted to cut the smugglers and American shipping out of the picture. The currency act really began a flow of cash for Britain in that it required all funds be shipped to England. On top of all that, these acts also empowered the British Navy to confiscate any and all shipping interests that broke these new policies. If any colonist wanted their goods back they had to travel to Nova Scotia for a tribunal to be heard. How many of those colonists could afford such a journey after having been 'legally raped' of all resources to defend their 'rights'? The authority for these deeds was already in affect with those 'writs of assistance' already mentioned earlier. These new acts gave more teeth to the burgeoning concepts being developed for control and of ultimate corruption....

Who is still hiding in the background behind these machinations of policy?

The currency acts were probably the biggest reason for the revolution. This was mainly what it was all about. Americans were sick of central banking out of London and wanted to start their own separate economy base. Leaving the Brits out in the dust. That kind of thing can't be allowed when you rule the world. Especially when you own the transportation lanes across the oceans. It always comes down to that: goods and their transport. This was the time when the maritime structure we see today came into its power.

....and who were those magnificent property holders who financed everything?

They're not the only ones. The monarchy has always had a powerful say in what happens in world policy.

Investigating into today’s power structure in the UK and the role played by the British monarchy, this eye-opening documentary reveals the grossly disproportionate and undemocratic wealth and power of Britain’s Royal Family.

The programmer educates the viewers about the sheer wealth of Britain’s unelected monarchy and trails through the various assets and sources of income to which a random family, born into a historic mesh of multiracial kings and queens, unfairly believe they are entitled.

The UK with its dark and scattered history of political struggles has become the playground of monarchic power and influence. The documentary exposes all the main instruments of wealth of the British monarchy and provides clear commentary as to why Britain may be the most contradictory democracy in the world.

They just took over what was already there through the major power bases of the day. The old saying 'All roads lead to Rome' centralizes everything. it has for millennia. Even further back with the pyramids. Divine and everlasting control of everything on Earth. Men have created this and gave it power through a belief that god(s) told them it was ok to rule the earth. Politics, religion, race, whatever. Who gives a shit when you control all their resources.

Then who are the chosen ones?

The race handed down by God through Adam?

Which race is that?

Which religion is that?
